DIGITALIS 1: AN EXHIBITION OF DIGITAL PRINT
November 23 – December 14, 2001
Moon Base Gallery, Vancouver, B.C.

“As I expected, the 24 artists’ works on display
reflect the current sophistication of
digital-art software and the variety of methods
for printing out the results. What I didn’t
expect was that none of the artworks actually
looked computer-made. There are no
corny 3-D–rendered shapes that scream
“Reboot outtake” or “Photoshop overdose”.
There aren’t even any computers in the
room. All the prints look like paintings that
were done using conventional techniques,
although if you look closely, you realize
they probably couldn’t have been.”
At the Nexus of Digital Art and Technology, Dave Watson,
The Georgia Straight, December 13, 2001, pg. 15.
